Cat Clyde’s Concord Records debut, Mud Blood Bone was recorded in Athens GA, and produced by Drew Vandenberg (Faye Webster, Of Montreal, The Army, The Navy).

Writing this collection of songs was medicine for me. They helped me move through a huge transition period in my life. Love is a big theme entwined in these songs. My ideas of love, how love has changed me, my desire to love in healthier ways that align more deeply with who I am and how I want to live. Another thread that winds through this work is time. I feel a lot of curiosity about time - the notions and concepts I create about and around time, the beliefs and abstractions. Time’s nature, how it moves, changes and paints everything. Different timelines and versions of time. These songs came like a message to my future self - alchemizing the emotions I was feeling to ground and release, to shed and renew. The spiral winds on, as do I.
